Khun Jae National Park

Closely at the Khun Chae National Park has extensive than 270 kilometers, it covers an area of Lampang, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai province. In addition, this is a source of Lao river that flows into the Mae kok river. There are most of the high mountains and a smooth place and hill is covered with Sawanna Meadow in this park that look,very beautiful. Peak Hill here there are also many such as Pha ngom, Doi San Yao and Doi Lunka that is the highest mountain of here and the 5th of Thailand.

Walk up Doi Lunka

Climate here is quite cool throughout the year and there are a lot of plant depending on the height of the hill such as Pha Phi, Pha Benjapan, Pha Dong Dip, Pha Son and Pha Teng Rung. Most people prefer to walk up the Doi Lunka and on the way it still has a lot of Wildlife live such as musk, boar, barking deer, porcupine, squirrel, bat, hare, bear, loris, gibbon, wildcat, chamois and more type of bird. By here they have the hiking activities to top of the Doi Lunka hill (distance of approximately 17 kilometers) this is a highlight activity here. The season for travel are between January-February that a range of weather is cool and White roses in full bloom covered the hill that look,very beautiful as well.

Doi Lunka

There are two ways to walk up  Doi Lunka  (the Mae Ton village home stay  path and radar center path) But most tourists prefer to walk up the Hill by the Mae Ton village home stay path because, there are more secure than radar center path and before we travel, we will need license from Nationnal park staff (at least 7 days). On the way we can see the stone roses, white roses and wild orchid in full blom.

On the Hill there is camping site that call the Pha Ngom camping, and the top of Pha Ngom we can see a lot of beautiful view such as the sunset view and the 4 connected grass hills of Doi San Yao view. We take approximately 4 days and 3 nights for this travel trip.

Facilities : There are two single house with full facilities (2 bedroom and 2 bathroom) in this national park, in addition there is a camping site on the lawn that you can use this place for  activity with your group also.
