Provincial Flower (North Thailand) Final Part.


1.Flowers of Mae Hong Son province.
Name: Dok Bua Tong
Common names: Mexican Sunflower Weed.
Scientific Name: Tithonia diversifolia (Hemsl.) A. Gray.
Also known as: Por Mue Nee
General Characteristics: Dok Bua Tong, a longevity flower for many years and up to 5 m. and a height of about 5 meters with a single bouquet of flowers is yellow like sunflowers, but smaller. There are about 12-14 slender petals.
Propagation: seeds.
Reasonable condition: sunny.
Origin: Mexico.
2.Flower of Lampang Province.
Name: Dok Tum Ruk Sa
Common names: Heliconia.
Scientific name: Heliconia spp.
Also known as: Kam Khoong
 General characteristics: Sunflower is a herbaceous plant species have underground stems, stem height about 1-2 meters leaves look similar sort of banana leaves alternate, smooth green leaves the size of it depending on the species, flowers are red, yellow, orange and pink.
Propagation: seeds.
Reasonable condition: soil and sun.
Origin: South America.
3.Flowers of Uttaradit Province.
Name: Dok Pra Du
Common names: Angsana, Padauk.
 Scientific name: Pterocarpus indicus Willd.
 Also known as: Sano (Southern Thailand).
General characteristics: stem height is 10-20 m. Deciduous flowering panicle branches at the end of the five yellow petals with a mild fragrance. Flowering and then falling at the same time, during flowering. April to August.
Propagation: seeds.
Reasonable condition: soils and sun.
Origin: India, Myanmar, Malaysia and Philippines.
