Provincial Flower (North Thailand) Part01

1.Flowers of Kamphaeng Phet province.
Name: Pikul
Common names: Bullet Wood, Spanish Cherry.
Scientific Name: Mimusops elengi Linn.
Also known as: Koon (Southern Thai), Keaw (Northern Thai), Sang Dong (Lampang), Pikul Pha (stool), Pikul Koa (Nakhon Si Thammarat), Pikul (general).
General Characteristics: Pikul is a medium-sized tree species height of 8-15 meters, and a spherical bush Sort leaves alternate, leaf margin slightly curved waves. It leaves are green. Flowers have a single flower petals, about 8 cloves stack, with white and very fragrant.
Propagation: seeds, graft
Reasonable condition: all kinds of soil, sun.
Origin: India, Myanmar and Malaysia.
2.Flower of Chiang Rai Province.
Name: Puangsad
Common names: Orange Trumpet, Flame Flower.
Scientific name: Pyrostegia venusta., Miers.
General characteristics: a bunch of plants with a large climbing vine. Climbers can have more than 40 feet long, pale green vine with three deciduous leaves in a leaf.
Propagation: graft
Reasonable condition: soil, do not want too much water and sun.
Origin: Brazil and Argentina.
3.Flowers of Chiang Mai, Lamphun Province.
Name: Flower Thong Kwao.
Common names: Flame of the forest, Bastard Teak, Bengal kinotree, Kino tree.
Scientific name: Butea monosperma.
General characteristics: Thong Kwao is a medium to large tree 10-15 m high and there are three deciduous leaves in a leaf with different size.
Propagation: seed germination.
Reasonable condition: soil and sun.
Origin: India
